Changes to the tram for three weekends – Which line they concern
Traffic regulations will be in effect for three weekends on Line 7 of the Tram due to scheduled construction and events in the Piraeus area.
For three weekends in March, traffic regulations will affect Line 7 of the Tram, which connects Asclepius Boulas to Poseidon Avenue in Piraeus. The changes are scheduled for March 14-15, 21-22, and 28-29, with the first two weekends coinciding with planned demolition works on Omeridou Skilitsi Street. During the morning hours from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., tram services will temporarily have their terminus at the SEF stop and will operate between Asclepius Boulas and SEF.
Additionally, on Sunday, March 15, tram services will also have their terminus at SEF until noon, owing to a running event taking place in the Municipality of Piraeus. Furthermore, on Saturday, March 14, starting from 9:30 a.m. until approximately 6:00 p.m., trams will terminate at the Agia Triada Piraeus stop due to ongoing technical work. These changes are part of a broader effort to manage transportation effectively during local construction projects and public events.
The scheduled changes highlight the importance of planning in advance for both commuters and visitors in the area. Awareness of the modified tram route is crucial to avoid inconvenience during these weekends, particularly given the concurrent local events and significant construction activities. Local authorities are providing these updates to ensure the public remains informed about transportation alterations that could impact their travel plans.
