The HELEXPO Advisory Committee convened for its first session today, focusing on improving the exhibition character of the General Exhibition scheduled for September. The objective is to elevate the content and reconnect the event with its historic identity as a leading platform for innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology. Ioannis Masoutis, President of the Thessaloniki Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was appointed as the head of this committee, which is expected to play a crucial role in strategic decision-making.
During the meeting, special emphasis was laid on the upcoming 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), which will feature Japan as the honored country. This year's fair aims to be a significant hub for attracting technology and fostering international collaborations. The committee members were welcomed by Christos Tsentemeidis, the President of HELEXPO, who highlighted the importance of their active involvement in shaping the company’s strategy and enhancing the exhibition’s global reputation.
Additionally, Tsentemeidis provided updates on the ongoing redevelopment project of the Exhibition Center, indicating that preparations are progressing rapidly, with intentions to announce the competition for its reconstruction. The reestablishment of the fair as a premier event reflects broader efforts to position Thessaloniki as a leading destination for business networking and innovation in the region.
