Rome is gearing up for the 31st edition of the 'Acea Run Rome The Marathon', Italy's biggest running event and one of the most prestigious in the world, scheduled for March 22. This year, the event coincides with World Water Day, highlighting the importance of water sustainability in sports. The hashtag #RunForWater will be used throughout the event, reinforcing the theme of water conservation.

Acea, the sponsor of the marathon, is amplifying its commitment to water resource protection by organizing various initiatives that blend sports with sustainability. On racing days, Acea plans to provide 125,000 liters of water, equivalent to 500,000 small bricks, ensuring proper hydration for the expected 60,000 participants, including 36,000 runners who will traverse a unique 42-kilometer route through iconic Roman landmarks such as the Colosseum and Piazza di Spagna.

This partnership between Acea and the marathon not only aims to promote athleticism but also raises awareness about environmental sustainability.
