A 23-year-old driver has been jailed after causing the death of a four-year-old girl and injuring her mother in a traffic incident in Birmingham.

Tavener confessed to charges of causing death by careless driving and causing serious injury by careless driving as a result of the crash.
In court, Tavener received a sentence of three years and ten months for his driving offences, along with an extra 18-month sentence for a separate assault case involving his girlfriend.
