Petrobras increases diesel price at refineries by R$ 0.38 per liter
Petrobras has announced an increase in diesel prices by R$ 0.38 per liter at its refineries, which comes amid rising international oil prices due to the war in Iran.
Petrobras, Brazil's state-controlled oil company, has declared an increase in the price of diesel by R$ 0.38 per liter at its refineries as of this Saturday. This announcement follows a government package aimed at mitigating surging international oil prices triggered by the onset of the war in Iran. Notably, this price hike surpasses the R$ 0.32 per liter exemption from PIS/Cofins that was recently announced by the federal government. Consequently, the new price for diesel at Petrobras's refineries will be R$ 3.65 per liter, reflecting a significant adjustment in response to global market dynamics.
