Wizz Air will transport passengers from the Baltic to the Black Sea this summer

Wizz Air is set to operate flights three times a week from Gdańsk to Varna, Bulgaria, a popular Black Sea resort.

Wizz Air has announced it will commence flights from Gdańsk to Varna, Bulgaria, during the summer season, operating three times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Varna, known as the 'sea capital' of Bulgaria, is renowned for its beautiful beaches and vibrant tourism industry, making it an attractive destination for travelers seeking leisure along the Black Sea coast.

Currently, Wizz Air operates a fleet of 8 aircraft out of Gdańsk and has ambitious plans to increase its capacity significantly over the coming years. With projections to transport 4.2 million passengers this year, up from 3.5 million in 2025, the airline is expanding its reach with a network that includes 45 routes to 23 different countries. This expansion reflects a growing demand for low-cost travel options, especially to popular tourist destinations like Varna.

The increase in flight frequency and accessibility to Varna is expected to boost tourism in the area, as the city is recognized for its extensive beach offerings and recreational activities. As Wizz Air continues to enhance its service and connectivity, it is likely to contribute positively to both the local tourism economy in Poland and the hospitality industry in Bulgaria, benefiting travelers and businesses alike.
