Wizz Air will transport passengers this summer from the Baltic to the Black Sea
Wizz Air will operate flights from Gdańsk to Varna, Bulgaria, three times a week during the summer season.
Wizz Air has announced new summer flights connecting Gdańsk, Poland, to Varna, Bulgaria, with operations scheduled three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This service aims to cater to travelers looking to enjoy the Black Sea region, known for its beaches and recreational activities. Varna is recognized as Bulgaria's third-largest city and is dubbed the 'marine capital' due to its appeal as a major tourist destination.
The flights are expected to enhance Wizz Air's offerings from Gdańsk, where the airline currently operates eight aircraft. With a goal to transport 4.2 million passengers this year, the airline has expanded its network to include 45 routes to 23 countries. In 2025, the airline aims to provide 3.5 million seats at the Lech Wałęsa Airport, reflecting its growth strategy and commitment to increasing connectivity for travelers.
Wizz Air's new route to Varna not only boosts tourism between Poland and Bulgaria but also highlights the airline's role in promoting regional travel in Europe. The ease of access to Varna's attractions, such as wide beaches and proximity to other resorts like Golden Sands, is anticipated to draw many Polish tourists seeking vacation options in the Black Sea area this summer.
