A 29-year-old vigilante was arrested on May 12 in Castilho, São Paulo, under suspicion of committing sexual abuse against children through internet interactions. According to the Civil Police, the individual had been luring children through social media and would initiate video calls, where he reportedly encouraged the minors to undress during the conversation, as outlined in the ongoing investigation. The alarming behavior included recording these video calls, with evidence gathered by authorities after a woman reported that the suspect had invited her six-year-old daughter to participate in such criminal activity.

Investigations revealed that the suspect viewed the recordings on a high-definition television to enhance image quality, raising further concerns regarding his intentions and actions. The case came to light when a victim's parent filed a complaint, providing police with crucial information that led to the suspect's apprehension. Notably, the accused is a father himself, with two children; one aged 11 and another, a six-year-old girl, who has Down syndrome.
