The era of gasoline cars is over โ€“ This brand's importer confirms that combustion engine cars can no longer be ordered

Subaru is discontinuing the sale of combustion engine vehicles in Europe, confirming that no new orders will be placed for such models in Finland.

Subaru, the renowned Japanese automaker known for its boxer engines and symmetrical all-wheel drive, has announced that it will cease sales of combustion engine models in Europe. Jani Kaivos, the business manager for Subaru Finland, confirmed to Alma News that new factory orders for combustion Subaru vehicles will no longer be accepted, and the existing stock in Finland has already been depleted. The last remaining models of the Forester and Outback are still in dealerships, with stocks diminishing rapidly.

Moving forward, Subaru's lineup will consist solely of fully electric vehicles, including the Solterra, a slightly smaller model titled Uncharted, and the estate version of the Solterra called e-Outback. The newly updated Solterra has just arrived in Finland, while deliveries for the Uncharted are expected to be available by mid-April, and the e-Outback is anticipated to be launched in early summer. The transition to electric vehicles marks a significant shift for Subaru in response to changing automotive market demands and environmental considerations.

As for pricing, the fully electric Subaru Solterra is listed at โ‚ฌ43,390. This model was developed in collaboration with Toyota and features comprehensive updates to meet current automotive standards. Subaru's move aligns with a growing trend among automotive manufacturers shifting focus away from internal combustion engines in favor of electric alternatives as global regulations become stricter regarding emissions.
