A large fire devastated a garage in Klaipėda district: everything inside was burned, two dogs died
A fire in Klaipėda district burned down a garage, destroying everything inside and resulting in the death of two dogs.
On March 12, at around 14:08, firefighters were called to extinguish a burning garage in the Klaipeda district's Endriejavas municipality. Upon arrival, they found the single-story wooden building engulfed in flames. The fire resulted in the complete destruction of the garage's interior, including a Peugeot car, a vehicle lift, lathes, various tools, and other items, while tragically leading to the death of two dogs that were inside the structure. The fire also caused damage to two parked cars outside the garage: an Audi A4, located two meters away, suffered from cracked glass and melted rear lights and bumper due to the heat, while an Audi B4, positioned five meters from the garage, had its rear light melted and sustained damage to its mechanical parts. The prompt response from the firefighters succeeded in saving two adjacent buildings: a residential house located 20 meters away and an economic building located just 10 meters from the garage. This incident highlights the potential dangers of fire and the importance of fire prevention and safety measures in residential areas. Local authorities and fire protection services are likely to assess the situation further to ensure similar incidents can be avoided in the future and to take measures to educate the community on fire safety practices, especially with the loss of pets in such tragedies being deeply felt by owners and neighbors alike.
