Her mother, Kotryna Juškienė, was a sister of the general, and her father, Rapolas Juška, held the position of a leader in the Šiluvos Riflemen's Union. Juškaitė experienced the hardships of exile at a young age when her family was deported to Siberia on June 14, 1941, an event that had a profound impact on her early life and legacy.
