In Šiauliai – mourning: a deserving medic died suddenly
Irena Pranė Jatulienė, a respected nurse and former head of a hospital department in Šiauliai, Lithuania, passed away suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service in healthcare.
Irena Pranė Jatulienė, who began her nursing career in 1964 after graduating from the Šiauliai Medical School, dedicated 36 years to the local hospital, primarily serving in various nursing capacities. Her early years were spent in the Children's Diseases Department before becoming the head nurse of the Internal Medicine Department, showcasing her deep commitment and diligence in her profession.
From August 1988 until June 2000, I. P. Jatulienė held the position of head nurse at the hospital, where her hard work and responsibilities earned her several commendations from the hospital management. In 1986, she was honored with the title of Distinguished Health Care Worker of Lithuania, recognizing her years of dedicated service and significant contributions to the healthcare field.
The hospital community expressed profound condolences to the family of I. P. Jatulienė, particularly her daughters Neringa and Rūta, highlighting not only her professional achievements but also the warm memories she leaves behind in the hearts of her loved ones, friends, and colleagues.
