Caçapava opens bidding of R$ 382,000 for Easter eggs after canceling purchase last year

The Caçapava City Hall has reopened bidding for R$ 382,915.20 to purchase Easter eggs for municipal students after last year's cancellation.

The city of Caçapava is moving forward with plans to distribute Easter eggs to municipal students after last year's purchasing fiasco. On March 12, the local government announced the opening of bids, allowing companies to submit their proposals for the procurement. The estimated spending for this initiative is R$ 382,915.20, aimed at supporting both early childhood education and elementary school children during the festive season.

The procurement plan includes a total of 8,092 regular chocolate eggs, with additional provisions for students with dietary restrictions, entailing 72 lactose-free and 27 sugar-free options. Each egg is required to weigh a minimum of 250 grams according to the technical specifications outlined in the tender. This measure is particularly significant as it aims to include all students, ensuring that those with special dietary needs are not disregarded during the celebrations.

Interested bidders can submit their proposals until March 23, with the public opening of the bids scheduled for the same day at 9:30 AM, conducted online. The initiative reflects the city's commitment to enhancing community involvement and festive celebrations, particularly after the previous year's cancellation, which may have left a gap in community morale and engagement during the Easter season.
