The Public Ministry of Maranhão (MPMA) has filed a criminal complaint against a teacher accused of committing sexual offenses against students at the Municipal School Sabino José da Fonseca, located about 153 km from São Luís. The accusations against the teacher, named Anderson Fernando Oliveira, highlight incidents of sexual harassment and unwanted physical contact occurring within the classroom. Additionally, students reported that he made discriminatory remarks with racist and homophobic undertones.

According to the MPMA, these alleged crimes took place last year while Anderson Fernando Oliveira was teaching Mathematics and Religion. The current charges represent the initial phase of a criminal process, in which the Public Ministry presents formal allegations to the judiciary. It is important to note that the teacher has not yet been convicted, and the legal proceedings are just starting based on the accusations made by students.
