Music teacher arrested suspected of sexually abusing students from social project in the interior of SP

A music teacher in Itatinga, Brazil, has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing underage students from a social project.

A 37-year-old music teacher has been arrested in Itatinga, São Paulo, on suspicions of sexual abuse against two young girls aged 9 and 11 who attended a municipal social project where he taught. The arrest took place on the 20th, after parents reported the incidents to the authorities following troubling revelations from their daughters about the teacher's inappropriate behavior during a private music lesson offered at his home.

The case came to light when the mothers of the girls detailed their daughters' accounts of being touched inappropriately. This prompted them to report the situation to the local Child Protection Council (Conselho Tutelar), which subsequently informed the Civil Police and advised the families to seek medical attention for the children. During a specialized hearing, one of the girls described how the teacher had led her to a bedroom and asked her to sit on the bed, further substantiating the parents' concerns and allegations of misconduct.

This incident highlights significant issues surrounding child safety in educational environments, especially in social projects aimed at providing supportive experiences for at-risk youth. The police are continuing their investigation into the case, which may reveal additional victims or further details about the suspect's conduct, emphasizing the critical need for vigilance in community programs involving children.
