Police carry out 23 arrest warrants against a group suspected of drug trafficking in the DF and surrounding areas

The Federal District Police conducted an operation resulting in 23 arrest warrants against a drug trafficking group operating in the Federal District and adjacent cities.

On October 12th, the Civil Police of the Federal District launched 'Operation Drible Sujo' aimed at dismantling a structured drug trafficking group in the Federal District (DF) and surrounding cities. The operation resulted in the issuance of 23 preventive arrest warrants and 28 search and seizure warrants, targeting areas including Samambaia, Ceilândia, Taguatinga, Valparaíso (GO), and Cidade Ocidental (GO).

The investigations have revealed that this group operated with a clear division of responsibilities, involving drug supply and distribution, transportation logistics, and financial movements to conceal illicit earnings. Authorities uncovered indications of third-party bank accounts being used and financial dissimulation techniques to impede the tracking of their activities, highlighting the operational sophistication of the group.

This operation underscores the ongoing efforts by law enforcement in Brazil to combat drug trafficking, particularly in urban areas where such networks thrive. The comprehensive approach taken by the police signals a significant move towards addressing organized crime in the region, aiming to disrupt not only the supply chain but also the financial mechanisms that support these illegal activities.
