A. Būtautaitė has been named the new director of Joniškis Hospital after successfully winning a competitive selection process. The competition saw six candidates submit their documents, with four candidates meeting the necessary qualifications and participating in the assessment. Būtautaitė has a solid background in internal medicine, having completed her residency in 2019 and worked in various capacities at the Regional Mažeikiai Hospital prior to her new appointment.

Her previous roles include serving as the head of the Emergency and Consultation Department and leading the Emergency Medical Department since June 2020. Furthermore, she temporarily carried out the functions of the Regional Mažeikiai Hospital director for a year between May 2024 and May 2025. Būtautaitė expressed a strong sense of responsibility towards both the hospital staff and the patients, emphasizing her commitment to providing professional care.

Moving forward, Būtautaitė plans to collaborate with the hospital team and local government to strengthen the hospital's position in the region and ensure access to high-quality services for not just Joniškis, but the surrounding communities as well. Her leadership is expected to drive better healthcare outcomes and enhance the overall reputation of the facility in the region.
