The Lithuanian parliament, known as Seimas, has passed initial approval for proposed amendments to the Labor Code. According to the Ministry, these changes are designed to implement the government’s program and strengthen employee protection while also enhancing the bargaining power of trade unions and employers. A total of 57 parliamentarians voted in favor, with 2 abstentions and no opposition against the bill.
