In a tragic incident on the morning of Thursday, the 12th, a collision between a truck and a trailer on the BR-116 highway in Cachoeira dos Índios, located in the Sertão region of Paraíba, led to the death of a 61-year-old male driver and left another driver injured. According to reports from the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the frontal accident occurred around 5:30 AM at kilometer 11 of the highway. The truck involved was reportedly carrying a load of toilet paper at the time of the accident.
Authorities have confirmed that one of the drivers, the 61-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene, highlighting the severity of the collision. The second driver was injured in the crash and received emergency assistance from a Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) team, which transported him to the Regional Hospital of Cajazeiras for treatment. The names of the individuals involved have not been disclosed as the authorities continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
