Limeira Shopping hosts awareness campaign on kidney health
Limeira Shopping in Brazil is hosting a kidney health awareness campaign offering free health services to the public in celebration of World Kidney Day.
Limeira Shopping is set to host a kidney health awareness campaign organized by Santa Casa de Limeira in conjunction with various local health partners. This initiative, scheduled for the 12th of March to coincide with World Kidney Day, aims to educate the local community about the importance of kidney health and early diagnosis of renal diseases, which often progress silently without noticeable symptoms.
Starting at 10 AM, attendees will have access to a range of free health services, including blood pressure checks, blood glucose tests, body mass index (BMI) evaluation, and medical, nutritional, and social guidance. This event also plays a crucial role in disseminating informative materials that highlight the necessity of kidney health monitoring and preventative practices, especially considering the significant public health implications surrounding renal conditions.
The campaign is a collaborative effort involving several organizations, such as the Brazilian Society of Nephrology, the local government of Limeira, and UniEinstein. By engaging these entities, the initiative not only raises awareness but also strengthens the healthcare network in the region, encouraging attendees to engage with their primary health care services for ongoing support and information.
