Shooting at HPCL Ethanol Plant... GM and AGM Shot Dead
A shocking incident occurred at the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited ethanol plant in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, where General Manager Sudhir Kumar Gupta and Assistant General Manager Harshit Mishra were shot dead.
On Thursday, a tragic incident unfolded in the village of Sahajani, located in the Dataganj area of Badaun district, Uttar Pradesh, where two senior officials of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) were murdered in a shooting. General Manager Sudhir Kumar Gupta and Assistant General Manager Harshit Mishra were the victims of this violent attack, prompting immediate concern from local authorities and police. District Magistrate Avanish Rai confirmed that as soon as the incident was reported, administrative and police teams rushed to the scene to begin an investigation.
The assailant, identified as Ajay Pratap Singh alias Ramu, had previously worked as a vendor at the ethanol plant and held a grudge against the management. According to District Magistrate Rai, Gupta had recently laid off several employees, including Singh, due to negligence in their work. Singh's dismissal is believed to be the catalyst for this act of violence, as he was reportedly upset about being terminated from his position.
This incident underscores the issues of employment stability and workplace conflicts that can escalate into violence, a growing concern in various sectors across India.
