Dynacom receives newly built tanker; advances largest shipbuilding program
Dynacom Tankers Management Ltd. has received a new Aframax/LR2 tanker named MT PSERIMOS, marking significant progress in its record shipbuilding program.
Dynacom Tankers Management Ltd., part of the Greek shipping industry, has recently taken delivery of a new Aframax/LR2 tanker named MT PSERIMOS, built at New Times Shipbuilding Co Ltd in China. This event underscores the company's ongoing commitment to expanding its fleet as they undertake what is described as the largest shipbuilding program by a Greek shipping group. The MT PSERIMOS has a deadweight tonnage (dwt) of 113,500, measuring 249.9 meters in length and 44 meters in beam.
This latest addition to the Dynacom fleet is a sister ship to the MT SAMOTHRAKI, which was delivered just months prior, illustrating Dynacom's swift expansion and modernization efforts. Founded in 1991, Dynacom has been steadily increasing its presence in the global maritime sector, with a focus on new technologies and sustainability in shipping. The construction of the MT PSERIMOS at a dedicated shipyard that has historically built vessels for the company further emphasizes the long-term relationship and trust between the shipping firm and its builders.
Looking ahead, Dynacom is set to receive over 25 newly built ships in 2025, marking a significant milestone not only for the company but for the Greek shipping industry as a whole. This ambitious program may enhance Greece's reputation in global shipping and contribute to economic growth within the sector, potentially leading to job creation and increased competitiveness in maritime logistics.
