On March 14, a new political party called "Alternatīva Latvijai" (Alternative Latvia) will hold its founding congress in Riga. Notably, Geduševs has previously served as the Chief of the Riga Municipal Police and has been involved with Ainārs Šlesers' political party, "Latvija pirmajā vietā" (Latvia First). Rublovskis has also been associated with this party, having been a candidate for the Minister of Defense in the past.
