In a remarkable achievement, a project designed to combat domestic violence, developed by students from the Escola Técnica Estadual (ETE) Ministro Fernando Lyra in Caruaru, Pernambuco, has garnered significant recognition at the national level. The initiative, known as Projeto Vivas, secured second place in Brazil at the 12th edition of the Diálogos program of Brazil Conference, the largest gathering of Brazilian students abroad, competing against 128 teams from across the country. The brainchild of students Ingridy Silva and Kauã Silva, under the guidance of their teacher and unit manager Eligivania Macedo, Projeto Vivas launched a mobile application that enables users to report cases of domestic violence.
