The assets of the deceased well-known businessman R. Karpavičius – at auction

The estate of the late businessman R. Karpavičius is being auctioned after a prolonged legal battle over inheritance.

Following the death of R. Karpavičius, a well-known businessman from Lithuania, a lengthy legal dispute unfolded regarding the inheritance of his assets. Recent developments have revealed that the disputes concluded with a peace agreement, allowing the sale of part of his estate. Last year, a portion of the assets was sold to the Vilkyškiai Dairy, and some procedural actions have only just been finalized now this year.

Currently, there is a search for new owners for one of the prominent real estate properties linked to Karpavičius, located in the center of Klaipėda. The head of the company Karpis, Aušra Mockuvienė, indicated that independent assessors had set the initial price for this property, which also includes the ownership of the land on which it stands. Although the building itself is not listed as a protected cultural heritage site, it resides within a heritage conservation zone, adding to its appeal for potential investors.

Interest in the auction has already been noted, with some areas of the property still under use for the company's own needs, yet it can be made available promptly for prospective buyers. The auction listing outlines potential development opportunities with a mix of residential and commercial use, allowing for expansion up to 1,400 square meters, capturing the interest of many looking to invest in a centrally located asset in Klaipėda.
