Aegean: After-tax profits reach β¬147.8 million in 2025, up 14%
Aegean Airlines reported a significant increase in passengers, revenue, and profits for 2025, highlighting growth driven by network expansion and demand during the winter months.
Aegean Airlines announced a robust financial performance for 2025, with after-tax profits reaching β¬147.8 million, up 14% compared to the previous year. The company reported a consolidated revenue of β¬1.86 billion, reflecting a 5% increase from 2024, which is attributed to both the expansion of its flight network and a gradual recovery in demand, especially during the typically slower winter season.
The airline transported a total of 17.3 million passengers in 2025, an increase of nearly 1 million passengers from 2024. This growth was supported by the availability of 21 million seats, which was a 6% increase in capacity, thereby enhancing Aegean's operational footprint both domestically and internationally. The improved capacity during off-peak months helped mitigate the effects of seasonality, resulting in a strong load factor of 82.5%.
In terms of profitability, Aegean reported EBITDA of β¬421.5 million and pre-tax profits of β¬192.1 million, which signifies a 17% increase from the previous year. This positive trajectory in the airline's financials indicates the company's resilience and strategic adjustments in response to market conditions, positioning Aegean Airlines favorably for continued growth in the competitive aviation industry.
