Weather: Bavaria is expecting a gray weekend

Bavaria will experience a transition from pleasant spring weather to a gray and rainy weekend according to the German Weather Service.

The German Weather Service has forecasted that the pleasant spring weather experienced in Bavaria will be replaced by less favorable conditions as the weekend approaches. On Thursday, cloudy skies are expected across the entire Free State, with some rain in areas near the Alps and East Bavaria. However, the weather may become sunnier in the afternoon, with temperatures reaching between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius.

As the night follows, many parts of Bavaria will experience clear or only slightly cloudy conditions, though it will feel relatively cold. Friday is anticipated to start sunny, with temperatures rising to a range of 13 to 18 degrees Celsius. In Franconia, gradual cloud coverage is expected, with rain likely to develop in Lower Franconia by Friday evening.

Saturday is predicted to be largely overcast across the region, except for Southeast Bavaria, where some rain is expected, particularly in Franconia and Swabia. The night leading into Sunday may bring colder temperatures in certain areas, with the snow line dropping below 1,000 meters, indicating a significant change in the temperature landscape for the region.
