This commitment was articulated during a meeting in Abuja, where Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, received his South African counterpart, Lieutenant General Lawrence Mbatha. In an official statement released by the Nigerian Army's Public Relations Division, the focus of the discussions was on developing professional capacities and specialized training programs aimed at tackling contemporary threats.
