Spectacle marks the celebration of the 203rd anniversary of the Battle of Jenipapo in Campo Maior
A theatrical performance celebrating the 203rd anniversary of the Battle of Jenipapo will take place in Campo Maior, Brazil, featuring a large cast of local artists.
The spectacle "Batalha do Jenipapo – Os viajantes do tempo" will return to Campo Maior on Friday, marking the 203rd anniversary of the historic battle that played a pivotal role in Brazil's fight for independence in the Piauí region. Scheduled to be performed near the Monumento Heróis do Jenipapo, this event has become a significant cultural manifestation for the local community, attracting both residents and visitors alike.
Directed by Franklin Pires, the performance will feature around 110 artists, including professional actors, singers from Piauí, and students from the Gomes Campos Technical School of Theater. Over half of the performers are registered professionals, while others are emerging talents, showcasing a blend of experienced and novice artists. The musical direction is led by Gislene Daniele, promising a captivating auditory experience accompanying the visual spectacle.
