The European Commission has approved changes to the regional program "European Funds for Świętokrzyskie for the years 2021-2027," which will fund shelters, airport and hospital modernization, and investments in the defense industry.

The European Commission has officially approved modifications to the regional program titled "European Funds for Świętokrzyskie for the years 2021-2027." This decision, announced by the Marshal of the Province Renata Janik during a conference at the Kielce Congress Center, aims to address pressing needs in the Świętokrzyskie region. The changes will facilitate the construction of shelters, modernization of infrastructure including the local airport and hospital, as well as investments aimed at bolstering the region's defense industry.

Renata Janik emphasized that the proposed adjustments align with the current demands of the Świętokrzyskie region in terms of development, crisis preparedness, and the security of its residents. The European Commission had no objections to the proposed alterations, indicating that they were well-considered and aimed at enhancing the overall resilience of the region. The strategic focus on crisis readiness suggests that the program is a proactive measure to fortify the regional infrastructure against potential future challenges.

Furthermore, the approved changes introduce three new priorities funded by the European Regional Development Fund, amounting to a total of over 575 million Polish zloty. This funding is key to advancing initiatives that support not only economic growth but also enhance the safety and security frameworks within the Świętokrzyskie region, thereby promising significant long-term benefits for local communities.
