Sara Berg, a 24-year-old midfielder, has left Bodø/Glimt to join FK Haugesund, marking her as the club's fifth new addition this winter. Berg has signed a three-year contract that will keep her at Haugesund until 2028. Coming from a well-known football family, she expressed her belief that this move represents the 'perfect place' for her development after spending her entire life in Bodø.

During her tenure at Bodø/Glimt, Berg made 26 appearances and scored two goals over the past two seasons. Despite Haugesund being newly promoted, she remains optimistic about maintaining the team’s identity and playing style, indicating a readiness to take on the role of a 'six' in the midfield.

Haugesund's sporting director Rune Lothe welcomed Berg personally upon her arrival at Haugesund Airport. The Berg name is significant in Norwegian football, with Sara being the daughter of Runar Berg and cousin to Patrick Berg, which adds to the familial legacy in the sport as she embarks on this new chapter in her career.
