TV Republika is the best news station. In the overall ranking, it was surpassed only by the 'big four'
TV Republika has emerged as the leading news station in February 2026 according to KRRiT's report.
In February 2026, TV Republika topped viewership ratings among news stations, achieving a market share of 5.4%. The station, led by Tomasz Sakiewicz, recorded an average minute viewership of 311,402 individuals. However, this reflects a decrease of 13,192 viewers compared to January and 23,004 viewers compared to the same month in the previous year.
Additionally, TV Republika ranked fifth overall among all television channels, falling behind the 'big four' of general thematic stations, which include TVP1, TVP2, Polsat, and TVN. These major stations achieved viewership numbers of 371,461, 370,062, 353,460, and 345,210 respectively, resulting in a 6.5% market share for both public television stations, 6.2% for Polsat, and 6.0% for TVN.
The competition remains fierce as TV Republika aims to solidify its position in the market amidst the challenges posed by its larger counterparts. This ranking indicates a significant shift in viewer preferences and highlights the rising prominence of TV Republika in Poland's media landscape, particularly in the realm of news broadcasting.
