In a troubling case from Lucknow, a woman has lodged a serious complaint against her cousin Suraj Kumar Rana for persistent harassment and blackmail. The woman claims that the harassment began in December 2025 when the accused started sending her repeated messages. Following months of torment, on February 23, 2026, he took the drastic step of posting her private photos along with pictures of her home on Instagram, presumably to shame her and exert control.

The situation escalated further when the victim opposed his actions, leading Suraj to threaten her family with harm, stating he would kill her father and brother. Despite the victim attempting to cut off communication by blocking several of his phone numbers, Suraj continued to pursue her, even resorting to new SIM cards to maintain contact. He reportedly sent her inappropriate texts and made threatening phone calls, deepening her distress and fear.

In response to the victim's complaints, police have registered a case at the Ghazipur police station based on her allegations. This incident highlights the alarming issue of digital harassment and the lengths to which perpetrators may go to control and threaten their victims, raising significant concerns about safety and justice in such disturbing cases.
