A landslide occurred on the Rodovia dos Tamoios at the 80 km marker during the early morning hours of Wednesday in Caraguatatuba, Brazil, impacting traffic as the road was partially closed. The incident happened in the Serra Antiga section of the road, and fortunately, there were no injuries reported.Due to the slide, the São Paulo State Transport Agency (Artesp) alerted the concessionaire Tamoios, which responded to the situation by deploying agents to the site to signal the area and guide drivers away from danger. The monitoring system also captured images of a minor land slip which was contained to the roadside, indicating ongoing instability in the sloping area.Assessing the situation, cleanup crews required a brief total road closure to remove the debris that had blocked the lanes. By around 7:30 AM, traffic was restored with continued monitoring of the region due to concerns over potential further landslides in the area.
