Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, recently redeemed a N30 million pledge he made to Team Edo, who triumphed in the Niger Delta Games, winning a total of 52 gold, 34 silver, and 25 bronze medals. The governor hosted a reception at the Government House in Benin City to celebrate the athletes and officials, emphasizing the importance of their achievements in promoting sporting excellence in the state.

In addition to congratulating the athletes, coaches, and sports administrators for their hard work and commitment, Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration's dedication to identifying and nurturing young sports talents in Edo.
