Contract awarded to Metka - Domiki Kriti for a 51 million euro project in Skaramagkas

A joint venture has been awarded the contract for a major road project in Skaramagkas, Greece, with a budget of 51 million euros.

A joint venture between Metka and Domiki Kriti has been declared the temporary contractor for a 51 million euro infrastructure project in Skaramagkas, Greece. This project involves the construction of three interchanges in the wider Skaramagkas area and the completion of a partially opened section of the Aigaleo ring road, connecting it with the Athens-Korinthos national road. The approval came from the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas, following the opening of bids reviewed by the competition committee on February 20, 2026.

The total cost of the project is set at 51 million euros, which includes VAT, and there are options for additional work valued at 9.5 million euros, also inclusive of VAT. The Metka – Domiki Kriti consortium submitted a bid that offered a competitive discount of 21.2%. Other bidders included Aktor with a 14% discount, Afoi Papaioannou at 8.2%, the joint venture EKTER – Technike Ergon at 6%, and Avax at just 1.5%. The construction focuses on significant road interventions essential to improve connectivity in the area, highlighting the government's commitment to enhancing infrastructure in urban regions.
