After finding a rental advertisement on Facebook, she reached out to the individual offering the rental, who informed her of availability in both Playas de Villamil and Salinas. Their communication then shifted to WhatsApp, where she was asked to provide an advance deposit to secure the reservation, which ultimately led to her realizing it was a scam.
