Navy's Lance Naik was sending photographs of India's warships to ISI

A soldier of the Indian Navy has been arrested for allegedly spying for the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, providing sensitive naval information and photographs.

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) has arrested a soldier of the Indian Navy, identified as Adarsh Kumar alias Lucky, on charges of espionage for the Pakistani intelligence agency. Kumar, who hails from the Kagarol area of Agra, was stationed at a naval base in Kochi under the Southern Command. It is alleged that he was transmitting sensitive information and photographs related to the Navy to the ISI, compromising national security.

Investigations revealed that Kumar not only shared covert naval information but also transferred money to his ISI handler from his bank account. The ATS's action came as a result of confidential inputs received regarding his suspicious activities, leading to his immediate arrest. The case highlights serious breaches of security and the potential threats posed by internal elements within the armed forces.

Currently, the ATS is interrogating the accused to ascertain the extent of the information shared and to identify any further accomplices involved in this espionage network. The ongoing investigation aims to uncover the full scope of the information leak and gather evidence against any additional parties involved, thereby addressing the grave issue of national security violations.
