Hilton announces hotel in Manaus and wants to double its presence in Brazil by 2030
Hilton plans to open a new hotel in Manaus by 2028 as part of a broader strategy to enhance its presence in Brazil, aiming for over 30 hotel openings by 2030.
Hilton has announced its intention to open a new hotel in Manaus, Brazil by 2028. This new venture will be strategically located between the city's two main shopping centers and is just minutes away from the international airport. The Manaus hotel is part of an ambitious plan by Hilton to double its presence in Brazil by 2030, which will involve the opening of more than 30 hotels under various brands in different locations all across the country.
In addition to the Hilton Manaus, the hotel chain plans to open Casa Costa Ilhabela later this year, and by 2028, they are also set to debut the Sanpiero Hotel Caminhos de Pedra in Bento Gonçalves, along with a Garden Inn in Natal. Other developments include plans for a Tru by Hilton near Congonhas Airport, which is expected to be initiated alongside a new Garden Inn at the same location by 2029. Moreover, the expansion will also reach the airport in Florianópolis, demonstrating Hilton’s commitment to increasing its footprint in Brazil's hospitality sector.
According to Hilton's executive vice president, these new openings reflect a favorable macroeconomic landscape in Brazil, along with a growing tourist market. They highlight the substantial opportunity available in the hotel sector, especially considering the relatively low number of hotel rooms compared to the population. This expansion not only signals trust in Brazil’s economic growth but also responds to the increasing demand for quality accommodation in key areas of the country.
