Better check: banks announce how they will operate on March 11
On March 11, customer consulting centers of major banks in Lithuania will be closed, with limited operations on March 10.
Lithuanian banks have announced their operating hours for the upcoming March 11 holiday. Luminor Bank stated that its customer consulting centers will be closed on this day, except for the center located in Å iauliai's Akropolis, which will be open from 10 AM to 9 PM. Additionally, the bank's call center will not be available, although online banking and ATMs will operate as usual during the holiday.
On March 10, most customer consulting centers will have shortened hours, with the Akropolis center maintaining regular hours from 10 AM to 9 PM. The call center will operate from 8 AM to 8 PM. However, transfers within the bank and instant payments will function normally, while other payment transactions, especially those involving euros or other currencies to and from banks in Lithuania or abroad, will be halted for the holiday period. This reflects a standard practice during public holidays and weekends.
Residents planning to make payments over this period are advised to do so in advance to avoid complications. This announcement emphasizes the importance of planning around banking services during national holidays, ensuring that customers are aware of their options during these times.
