Wrestler Aleksandrov limited to one match at U-23 European Championships

Estonia's only wrestler, Tristan Aleksandrov, was eliminated after losing his initial match at the U-23 European Championships in Serbia.

Tristan Aleksandrov, representing Estonia at the U-23 European Wrestling Championships held in Zrenjanin, Serbia, faced a challenging start to the competition, being eliminated in the round of 16. He suffered a defeat against Armenian wrestler Haik Papikjan with a score of 1:12. Papikjan himself later lost in the quarter-finals, which meant that Aleksandrov did not have an opportunity to continue in the consolation rounds. This defeat is notable, especially since just a month earlier, Aleksandrov had victories over his future opponent, Pedzick, winning both matches at the Kristjan Palusalu Memorial.
