Russian drones injure police officers and children in Nikopol and Marhanets
A Russian drone attack in the Nikopol district injured nine individuals, including police officers and children.
A recent drone attack by Russian forces in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has left nine individuals injured, including both police officers and children. The Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported on Telegram that three of the injuries occurred in the town of Marhanets, where a four-year-old girl was among those affected. Fortunately, all injured parties are receiving outpatient treatment, but the attack also resulted in damage to a nearby minibus.
In Nikopol itself, the situation was more severe, with six police officers injured while they were on duty responding to the situation. Notably, one officer, aged 42, was hospitalized in serious condition, underlining the dangerous nature of the ongoing conflict in the region. The drone strikes have not only injured individuals but have also caused damage to law enforcement and emergency service vehicles, highlighting the direct impact of the war on those tasked with maintaining public safety.
The attack comes on the heels of other assaults reported on March 9, when Russian forces targeted the city of Dnipro, damaging residential buildings and injuring several civilians, including a 12-year-old boy. This escalating pattern of drone warfare exemplifies the ongoing threat to civilian life and public safety in Ukraine, as well as the urgent need for continued international attention and support for the region during this conflict.
