A Russian drone attack in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast resulted in nine injuries, including a teenager.
On the night of February 8-9, a drone attack by Russia targeted Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, leading to injuries for nine individuals, including a 13-year-old girl. The Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, reported that the injured were immediately taken to hospitals, with one woman in critical condition. This attack highlights the continuing threat posed by Russian drone strikes in populated areas of Ukraine.
The assault primarily affected the city of Shakhtarske in the Synelnykove district, where a three-storey residential building suffered significant damage. Fire engulfed the building, destroying its roof and floors, while another apartment building also experienced a garage fire and shattered windows. These attacks point to the increasing danger for civilians in the region and the ongoing hostilities between Ukraine and Russia.
Additionally, the Vasylkivka hromada, an administrative unit near Shakhtarske, was also impacted by the drone strikes, resulting in a fire that damaged three houses. This incident further emphasizes the destructive capabilities of drones in urban warfare, raising concerns for civilian safety as the conflict continues without resolution.
