Thessaloniki: Prosecutorial intervention in the case of the professor's death

A preliminary investigation has been ordered regarding the death of a professor in Thessaloniki who had previously reported being bullied by a group of students.

In Thessaloniki, the Appeals Prosecutor's Office has ordered a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a local professor who passed away last Saturday following a hemorrhagic stroke. Prior to her death, the professor had made allegations of bullying directed at her by a group of students at the public school where she taught. This order for an investigation was issued by Leonidas Nikolaopoulos, the head of the Appeals Prosecutor's Office, in light of media reports and a formal request for intervention made by the educator to the relevant educational authorities.
