In a tragic incident in the Imbiribeira neighborhood of South Recife, a 68-year-old woman lost her life after being run over during a collision between two vehicles. The woman was dining at an establishment along Avenida Mascarenhas de Moraes when a black car collided with a white vehicle and subsequently crashed into the restaurant, fatally striking her. Eyewitnesses reported the chaos as the driver of the black car lost control, leading to the fatal accident.

The incident was recorded by the Traffic and Urban Transport Authority of Recife (CTTU) as a collision followed by a pedestrian being struck. Witnesses highlighted that the victim was a long-time patron of the restaurant, further emphasizing the tragic nature of the event, as she was enjoying her usual lunch at the time of the accident.
