A covered football hall will be built in Radviliškis: the project is already being prepared

A new covered football facility is set to be constructed in Radviliškis, Lithuania, to provide a year-round sports space for the local community.

The mayor of Radviliškis, Kazimieras Račkauskis, announced the development of a covered football hall that will serve not only local football players but also the broader community. This facility aims to provide a sports venue for children and youth, allowing them to engage in sports activities throughout the year, regardless of the weather. This initiative aligns with a growing emphasis on promoting sports and recreational activities within the region.

The planned location for the football hall is on the site of the former stadium, specifically at Gedimino Street 85 in Radviliškis, adjacent to the Radviliškis Technology and Business Training Centre. The municipality has already acquired an 8.6-hectare plot of land from the training center for this project, signifying a commitment to revitalizing the area and enhancing sports infrastructure within the community.

The new facility is expected to include a state-of-the-art sports area with an artificial turf football field and an inflatable dome, enabling sports activities to continue regardless of weather conditions. In addition to the sports hall, the surrounding area will also be updated with pathways for pedestrians and the provision of parking spaces, further supporting community access and engagement with the new facility.
