Vilnius plans to reconstruct another stadium

Vilnius is set to demolish four warehouses and renovate a football field as part of a project for a new stadium infrastructure.

The city of Vilnius is planning a significant project that involves the reconstruction of a sports complex on J. I. Kraševskio Street. The project includes the demolition of four existing warehouses on the site and the renovation of the current football field to enhance its facilities. Project proposals suggest that the central area of the complex will feature upgraded facilities for athletics and football, alongside the renovation of two existing tennis courts and the construction of two additional ones.

In addition to the upgraded sports fields, the plans include a new stadium infrastructure building that will feature changing rooms for athletes, auxiliary facilities, a café, and a sports hall. Such improvements are expected to significantly enhance the experience for both athletes and spectators. The proposed design also includes seating for 680 spectators, making it a more appealing venue for local sports events.

The city has scheduled to present these project proposals to the public on Friday, which indicates a commitment to community engagement in local sports development. This initiative aligns with Vilnius's strategy to enhance its sports facilities and promote active lifestyles among its residents.
