Streets in the city center closed for mass celebrating the 25th anniversary of the ordination of the bishop of Mogi das Cruzes
Two streets in the center of Mogi das Cruzes will be closed for a mass commemorating the 25th anniversary of Bishop Dom Pedro Luiz Stringhini's episcopal ordination.
In Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, two streets surrounding the Cathedral of Sant'Ana will be closed to traffic on the morning of Tuesday, the 10th, from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. This street closure is in preparation for a significant mass celebrating the silver jubilee of Bishop Dom Pedro Luiz Stringhini, who has been a key religious figure in the area for over a decade. The occasion marks 25 years since his ordination as bishop and 13 years since he took charge of the Diocese of Mogi das Cruzes.
The traffic hindrances will specifically affect Rua Padre João between Rua José Bonifácio and Rua Paulo Frontin, and Rua Paulo Frontin between Rua Capitão Manoel Caetano and Rua Padre João. Drivers will be redirected, particularly those on Rua Capitão Manoel Caetano, who are instructed to continue forward and turn right onto Rua José Bonifácio. Only taxi drivers will be permitted access on Rua Padre João, as they have received prior notification of the changes.
Local traffic agents will be present to assist and direct motorists throughout the duration of the closures, ensuring a smooth flow while accommodating the attendees of the mass. This celebration not only emphasizes the local community’s support for Bishop Stringhini but also showcases the importance of the Catholic Church in the region, as reflected in the logistical considerations made for the event.
