Nespresso launches coffee with The Weeknd and raffles tickets for the singer's concerts in Brazil
Nespresso has launched a new coffee line in collaboration with The Weeknd and is holding a ticket raffle for his upcoming concerts in Brazil.
Nespresso has announced the launch of two coffee products in partnership with Canadian singer The Weeknd, coinciding with his concert tour in Brazil this April. The new coffee line is named after The Weeknd's mother, Samra, and reflects the artist's Ethiopian heritage, featuring two distinct blends sourced from Africa: the Samra Origins Togetherness Blend and Samra Origins Tanzania. These coffees aim to celebrate unique flavor profiles, with the first blend having light roasting and citrus notes, while the second one, an Arabica from the Kilimanjaro region, boasts higher acidity with fruity and cereal notes.
In addition to the coffee capsules, the themed collection also includes a thermal mug and a drink glass, extending the brand's reach beyond just coffee into merchandise catering to fans of The Weeknd. The products had previously been available in other countries, making their Brazilian launch a significant moment for local consumers who have been eager for these offerings. The pricing for the capsules ranges from R$ 45 to R$ 55, while the thermal mug is priced at R$ 200, suggesting a premium positioning in line with both the Nespresso brand and its celebrity partnership.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, is set to perform in Brazil from April 26 to May 1 as part of his After Hours Til Dawn Stadium tour, adding excitement for fans of both the artist and the new coffee line. The collaboration not only promotes the products but also enhances Nespresso’s visibility in the region by linking with a major pop culture figure, thereby attracting both coffee aficionados and music enthusiasts alike.
