During the emergency response, the injured man was taken to the Hospital do Paranoá for treatment.
According to Ronney Matsui, a delegate from the 30th Civil Police precinct in São Sebastião, there is evidence suggesting that the woman had been assaulted prior to the stabbing. The woman voluntarily presented herself at the police station after the incident; however, she was released after giving her statement, and the case is still under investigation. The identities of both individuals involved have not been disclosed to the public.
